Vision Boards and More/Less List for 2025
What I'm manifesting more and less of in the new year.

When I first started writing this edition of The Current earlier this week, I was going to start things off by saying “happy New Year!” But so much can change in a matter of days, and the fires that have been ravaging LA this past week have been anything but happy.
As we collectively turn the page on a new chapter, I’m feeling heaps of gratitude, a sprinkle of anxiety, a dollop of hope, and a hefty dash of trepidation, all mixed together. Between the devastating fires in LA (find a list of ways you can help here), the upcoming inauguration, and UAP watch, it feels like 2025 is going to be an intense and wild ride.
We’re only about a week into the new year and already we’ve been graced with the Duchess’s return to IG and her Netflix debut (here for it!), Babygirl mania (turns out milk really does do a body good), and a warning from the surgeon general about the cancer-causing effects of alcohol (whoever is doing PR for Dry January really deserves a raise). Buckle in, folks.
To kick off the year, I’m sharing my vision boards and More/Less list for 2025. Does this feel trivial when so much else is happening in the world right now?? Absolutely. But I’d like to think there are a few tid-bits on the list below that we could all benefit from right now.
2025 MORE/LESS LIST
More quality, less crap
“Fewer but better” is my rallying cry for 2025.More vintage and boutique shopping, less fast-fashion
My Instagram girl crush Meg Busacca-Green has been so inspiring when it comes to vintage shopping and dressing. She does a great job of mixing old and new pieces in ways that always feel fresh, unique, and joyful.More appreciation for beauty in the everyday, less bitching and moaning
More listening/observing, less talking
More learning, less ignorance
More reading, less scrolling
*Audiobooks also apply hereMore boundaries, less people-pleasing
More poetry, less pessimism
Not necessarily the poetry found in books, although I’m here for that too, but more an appreciation for the poetry of life.More connection, less division
More doing, less putting things off for another day
More hand-written notes, less texting
More gratitude, less comparison
More cooking, less kitchen anxiety
I’m a terrible chef despite my deep love and appreciation for food. Fortunately, I married a man who is skilled in this department. But, I’m inspired by Ina and Martha to get cooking and spend more time at the stove—or, ahem, air fryer—this year.More sleep, less late-night TV
This is a hard one for me: I’ve always been a night owl, and I love the quiet and solitude of binge-watching a show in my own little cozy cocoon after everyone has gone to bed. I’m also often up late working at night, and having a show on in the background is comforting. But maybe instead of four episodes I can just watch one…or two.More wine-free weeknights, less winter dehydration
I love an evening glass of wine, but the older I get the more I notice how much it contributes to dry skin and crappy sleep. Le sigh. At least now my weekend glass of wine, bubbly, or a dirty martini will feel all the more special.More movement and stretching, less stagnation
I love pilates and do it weekly, but I want to return to my forgotten yoga mat and get back on skis this winter. My body has never felt better than when I was doing yoga regularly, and although I grew up skiing and love it, I haven’t been on the slopes since I was pregnant. Also, more walking—a good, long walk makes everything better.
Here’s to manifesting happier days ahead.
xx, Tessa
Absolute perfection 👌 I did have to look up what UAP was 😅- but everything resonates with me! Love your words! Xx
Your list is almost exactly what my list for 2025 is! I just ordered "from the desk of" notecards so I could write more handwritten notes this year. Also on my list for 2025 - hang out with you more! Excellent post as always! xo
