Happy Thanksgiving weekend! I hope everyone had a festive, cozy, and delicious holiday with loved ones. Aside from leftovers (pie for breakfast, anyone?), here’s everything I’ll be gobbling up on Black Friday and throughout the weekend…
CURRENTLY ADDING TO CART
I’m not a big Black Friday shopper (my anxiety can’t handle the pressure!), and I don’t love the consumption madness surrounding Black Friday, BUT if you’ve been considering a purchase or are shopping for gifts it’s a great time to grab a few things at a good price. Here are a few sales worthy of your attention and hard-earned dollars:
Dragon Diffusion bags have landed at Koo De Ker! I’ve had my eye on these hand-woven leather bags for years, and now that they’re available locally I think it’s finally time to pull the trigger on one.

Koo De Ker is having a Black Friday sale through Sunday, offering 15% off your entire purchase with code THANKS15 (excluding Dragon Diffusion bags). I recently purchased this oversize navy cardigan and love it; I wore it with a dress to Thanksgiving dinner. This cable knit sweater in navy speckle looks so cute too.

Alex Mill Friday-ish Sale: 50% off select styles, including cardigans, work jackets, and cashmere turtlenecks.

Doen Give Thanks Sale: Markdowns on a variety of styles and items, including dresses, tops, pants, sweaters, and shoes. I love this silk-satin boudoir-inspired dress (wear it with black tights and ballet flats or mary janes), this dark floral-print blouse., and these Doen x K.Jacques ankle-wrap leather sandals in champagne gold and rouge vachetta.

Emme Parsons Archive Sample Sale: So many beautiful shoes currently marked down, including simple suede sandals, leather fisherman sandals, and crystal mesh ballerinas. I wore these square-toe sandals in embossed lizard all summer and loved them; they’re currently on sale, too.

G.H Bass Sale: 30% off select styles, including the brand’s iconic loafers. I love this tassle coganc leather style and this green houndstooth style.

Katie Waltman Black Friday Sale: 30% off all jewelry, including these Sculpture Wavy Huggies I recently purchased (a fun alternative to simple gold hoops), and these Audrey Pearl Hoop Earrings and Tapered Baguette Hoops, which are both favorites of mine.

La Ligne Mercigiving Sale: up to 65% off select styles, including striped favorites like the Mini Marin sweater and the Macauley shirt and short set.
LESET Sale: 30% off sitewide, including cozy and classic pointelle cotton sets, and these best-selling stirrup pants.
Black Friday is also a great time to stock up on favorite beauty items. Here are a few products I’ll be restocking:

20% off my favorite Westman Atelier highlighter (I love the nectar shade)
50% off my favorite Fresh face wash (great for sensitive skin; I get the jumbo size for my shower)
20% off Victoria Beckham Beauty: I recently ordered this crystal-infused Lid Lustre eyeshadow in chiffon and this Posh Balm
20% off Oribe Gold Lust shampoo and conditioner (pricey but a little goes a long way and I’ve noticed such a difference in the quality of my long hair—I also love the scent)
36% off my favorite Korean night cream (only $16!)
30% off the best overnight lip replenisher/plumper (it’s sticky so wear it at night)
40% off hydrating sheet masks (just $15 for a pack of 10!)
32% off this duo of overnight hydrating and collagen-boosting Korean face masks
39% off my favorite face illuminator (the glow is real for less than $11)
30% off this illuminating nail concealer (I’ve almost finished my first bottle; it makes your nails look and feel so healthy, and it’s such a nice alternative to traditional polish)
20% off this Good Clean Goop body exfoliator (the next best thing to a full-body Korean scrub down)
CURRENTLY CRAVING
I’m a bigger fan of Thanksgiving leftovers than the actual feast. The flavors have all had time to marinate, and I love making a turkey sandwich stuffed full with all the Thanksgiving fixings. Cookbook author and former Bon Appétit editor Molly Baz just launched AYOH, a new line of sando sauces (or as she describes it, mayo gone wild), and the flavors would be perfect for post-Thanksgiving sandwiches.
CURRENTLY WATCHING
I’ve been devouring the sensual new Spanish-language series “Like Water For Chocolate” on HBO, an adaption of Laura Esquivel’s beloved novel. The story follows the forbidden romance between Tita De La Garza and her childhood sweetheart Pedro Múzquiz during the Mexican Revolution. Tita is an incredible cook and discovers she has the ability to convey feelings and emotions through the flavors of her food. The novel is magical realism at its finest, and it gives new meaning to the phrase “heat things up in the kitchen.”
In other food-related films, I can’t think of a more perfect film to watch this Thanksgiving weekend than the new Martha Stewart documentary, “MARTHA” (available on Netflix), or the French film, “The Taste of Things” (available on Prime Video), a visual love letter to food and cooking starring Juliette Binoche.
Bon appétit!
xx, Tessa
